The behaviour of Boeing is inexcusable. Never will I fly on a Boeing aircraft again just on principal alone. Imagine taking an old airframe and thinking that sticking on bigger engines was going to be a success. Imagine trying to point out safety issues and getting murdered for doing so. I believe the last CEO walked away with a 60 million package.

Someone is in trouble at Boeing.

Considering Boeing cry the their government to impose a 300% taxe to Bombardier C series that resulted the sale of the plane to Airbus and everything that followed, I have no regard fore that company. I don't want bad for the employees but I should hope Boeing fire all those people involve and to be sold to entrepreneurs with some backbone.

I think that the problems with Boeing all started with the MD11. What I suspect is that the faulty wiring on those planes caused fires on board and brought the Swiss Air flight down. They got away with it back then and have continued their path.

How does anyone who has a basic knowledge of aviation not know the door is going to blow open?

So if a terrorist wanted to get into the cockpit to hijack the plane, they could shoot out a window and the door would open automatically? Great design :/

Boeings reputation is now in taters as thousands of passengers refuse to fly on their aircraft because of the two crashes the Max 9 suffered from. Cost cutting is never a good idea when it comes to passenger safety,this is what happens when accountants get involved in safety issues. The Boeing 747 jumbo jet was trusted worldwide by many airlines who continue to use them today, how could a company be so stupid to risk the safety of passengers who use their products.

Once upon time, an airplane manufacturer produced very good airplanes, praised by both the military and the commercial aviation experts. They had excellent scientists, engineers and salesmen. Yet, they were in financial trouble because of deficient administration. The managers fought with their assembly employees and technicians and had work done outside to circumvent union problems. They had very long delays in production (and consequently delivery) due to problems in production and management. So they decided to implement a program they called TQMS for Total Quality Management System. EVERY employee had to re-apply for his or her job, including engineers, salesmen, high-level technicians with decades of service to the company and excellent records, although the problem was obviously coming from the production and the management. So, the experienced workers, the engineers with decades of experience, the salesmen who had good statistics and the company's most precious employees decided that TQMS meant Time to Quit and Move to Seattle. Thus, MDD (McDonnell-Douglas) went bankrupt. Yes : the company I was talking about was MDD. Boeing made a very smart move ; they hired the scientists, the engineers and the salesmen of MDD. And then they made the absolute worst mistake they could do : they also hired the managers. Yes : those very same "administrators" who had driven MDD to bankruptcy! One of them (Harry Stonecipher) even became CEO of Boeing!!!!! Boeing is now managed by MDD. Or, to put it in Boeing's employees' words : MDD bought Boeing with Boeing's money. The rest of the story you know. The then new 787 was rolled out with years of delay and had terrible technical problems (battery fires, communication network failures...) ; the 737 Max accidents due to MCAS and poor quality control ; the 777 X delays and quality problems ; Boeing's biggest success in commercial aviation (the 747) is discontinued ; an important proportion of production was moved from Seattle and Everett to Charleston (South Carolina) to circumvent Union problems ; the head office was moved from Seattle to Chicago to put distance between the employees and the management, breaking the "one big family" culture that made Boeing so strong and, according to Stonecipher's own words, Boeing is not anymore an engineering enterprise but a money-making corporation. There"s just one problem : airplanes fly on air, not on money!

Still Airbus A330 is an old frame therefore most of the clients are opting for Boeing 787 or airbus A 350.

This reminds me of Virgin Atlantic Richard Branson, as for Global he takes advantage of the very low cost of acquisition (less than 10% of its listed price) Global will experience a high boost as it starts but down the line, it will fail!! due to high operating costs & maintenance

A lot of people watch these videos telling how unsafe Boeing planes are, but they still fly on them. This is insane. When I go to book my flights the first thing I ask is what type aircraft will they use. If it's a Boeing, I ain't going. Plane and simple, I don't trust any Boeing aircraft built in the last 10 years or so.

I think he's a smart chap, the A380 is a little like Concorde. A worlds first and I very much doubt another air-liner that size will ever be built anything like it again making it a cult offering and over time more and more people will want and pay to experience it. how many of you would pay anything to fly on Concorde. I would sell my house!!!

i think to many at it in the airline game, a better hub in the uk, would be manchester airport uk or london stansted, or london southend airports, i wish tham all the best

We can thank Trump for removing Departmental control on aircraft construction on day one of his presidential appointment. He handed over to aircraft manufacturers all control over engineering and construction development thus bypassing government control over these issues.

I am a retired engineer, I worked for decades in Europe and the United States, quality control is part of the European work culture. In the United States, although I used several quality programs, Six Sigma, Excellence through Quality and others, none of them came close to its European counterpart. For years I felt the arrogance of those who were in the "not invented here", now retired, I look at all this misery of Boeing and remember with pride my beginnings on Airbus A320 then later on A330 and 340. The wheel turns, always!

I think it's a very bold risk Global airlines are taking with only A380 in it's fleet. It's also a calculated risk and bringing back lost memories bcoz of civil aviation world and passengers forgetting about the beautiful A380 airliner

No airlline should buy any Boeing aircraft, if these practices are stiill happening.

I like the idea of a new A380 operator and even operating out of LGW i thing the airline will have an up hill battle to survive. I do wish them luck.

So, the federal government has been aware of the serious problems at Boeing, and the threats of violence against those who speak out about the flaws in assembly of these large aircraft, and do nothing? Already two Boeing whistleblowers are dead. It seems there must be folks in government on the Boeing payroll to overlook these problems.

I would pay a bit more for an transatlantic flight in the A380. This plane is superior for long flights.

Looks like the Boeing 747 and Airbus A380 are making a comeback but in Electric or Hydrogen form not in an Fuel form.

The last Commercial 747 was delivered to Atlas Air in 2022, only Private 747's are still producing To be replaced with 797 Jumbo Jet
